Me in my MS relapse a year and a half ago and my general attitude to disability bollocks.

I have MS. I have never hidden my MS. I have written a lot about MS. I have commented on MS and made videos about MS. I have written in the Scotsman Newspaper about MS. Above is a video of lots of clips of me live in relapse and being stretchered into hospital with MS. I am absolutely not interested in the BBC's Ouch channel or magazine. I don't read, nor watch them. Or any accessible bollocks. Nor do I watch the Paralympics or similar. Nor for that matter do I watch the actual Olympics. I am also not interested in the undatables or stories about euthanasia. This is not my speciality nor my choice. I also do not have the patience for it. I'm happy to give the occasional comment. And write the occasional article (part of my memoir deals with MS). N.B. UPDATED 2018 THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR YOU TO TEACH ME PATIENCE. I HAVE BEEN A CARER AND HAVE PATIENCE IN SPADES FOR THOSE THAT ARE DESERVING. JUST NOT INEFFICIENT BULLIES AND SYSTEMS. Similarly please do not try and fix me up with people on the basis of disability. If you read my blog, articles and social media channels and look at my bookshelf below from the pic I took for the last blog entry you will clearly see what I am interested in.

Yup Photography, Africa, International News, Kenya, Human Rights, Conflict, Conservation, Formula One, Ballet, Sailing, Polo, Cocktails, Backgammon, Proper Rock, Classical, Blues, Slide Blues and Jazz Music, IT, Ecology, the Environment, Tropical Marine Conservation, Wildlife and Conservation generally, Science, Literature, Poetry, Art, Good Food and Drink, Couture, Style, Antiques, History, Literature, children, relationships, parenting, psychology, several authors, I could go on.

Or see any of my Pinterest, Tumblr, Twitter of other social media feeds.

I'm also somewhat of a specialist in several of these and some specific news stories, which I have been following for decades. I have an MA in International Journalism and a specialism in broadcast and conflict. I am not an idiot who is turned on by yomping off to war with a disability and sole parenting responsibilities. Disability and MS do not feature at all. I did not and do not choose them. I think mindfulness is bollocks and am not a vegan, vegetarian or a dope smoker. I like organic food and natural remedies where possible but still take my medicine, give my child jabs and like to enjoy life. I also am the least patient person I know with people and situations that irritate me and I'm very irritated by social workers and similar rubbish in the Guardian's biased social care coffee room sob story.

Screenshot of old tweet of very old article about me training on the MS Challenge boat in the late '90's before crewing and photographing on the boat during a race from the Solent to Cherbourg to raise money and awareness of MS. Also see link to Scotsman article on MS written and published arount the same time. Article appeared in the East London Advertiser as I was living in Wapping at the time.
