    Poor policy, missed opportunities and lack of action by International political leaders to blame for

    If the seeds of the current Syrian refugee crisis were planted and fertilized long ago, then the weeds were watered by inaction and poor policy and allowed to choke and overpower the moderates of this once great nation. Assad’s poor policy was to be expected. He tipped his hand long ago when he began to bomb his own people. It was at that point that other leaders had a chance to intervene.     Why do I think Assad needs to go quietly in two sentences?

    I think any leader who sanctions airstrikes on his own civilian population has lost their grip and needs to go. Prefereably with dignity and some salvaged honor voluntarily, co-operatively and peacefully. #Syria #Assad #VictoriaQuinHarkin #VictoriaLuckie #WhyAssadneedstogo

    Op Ed on Syria and refugees.

    I decided to put my opinions (which I have been relating widely on Twitter, facebook and various other social and other media for the last four or five years at least in one place). In my view the current Syrian refugee crisis has exposed the lack of courage of many leaders in failing to intervene and remove or relocate Assad when he started arial strikes on his own people. My view is that the most effective way of doing this would have been to relocate Assad in a similar way
